Diskeeper 2008 Premier Pro defragmenter

After a good weeks use of the Diskeeper 2008 Pro Premier program we have noticed a number of good points. This application is completely autonomous, doesn’t reduce your performance under Windows XP SP3 and is completely transparent in terms of use. InvisiTasking manages everything. While you quietly work away as usual, the hard drive maintenance is assured with effectiveness.

Even if the Diskeeper interface is impressive at first, it requires no particular knowledge to use its full power. If you are a user that likes to get your hands dirty, then there should be enough to satisfy you (manual defragmentation, a finer use of the system resources, defragmentation scheduling, event logs…).

Does Diskeeper 2008 Pro Premier speed up file access which also maintaining your hard drives health? The answer is yes. I-FAAST 2.0 paired with the optimization of the swap file and better organization of the MFT of the NTFS partition are your best allies and “speed up” the start up access of your most commonly used applications.

After this test it would be wrong not to recommend Diskeeper 2008 Pro Premier due to the efficiency demonstrated. The only function that we witnessed is the impossibility of being able to defrag network disks located on your NAS (Synology). If you want to be able to do this, then you will need to use Diskeeper SA (Server Appliance) which integrates remote web integration. We should also state that there is a Windows Home Server version (WHS).
