DJ Star

It appears that the next in fashion musical games will be with turn tables and mixers. DJ Star is the first to be released in what appears to be a long series, which should please those that can bust a move on the dance floor and who are used to these different sounds. In this regard, it appears that the game is aimed at a targeted audience, which means that if this music isn’t to your tastes, then you will probably not get a lot of enjoyment from this release. Leave the game to the pros, as that’s the market that Game Life is trying to seduce here...

  1. 1 - Be a DJ !
  2. 2 - A transitory career
  3. 3 - Conclusion

DJ StarRather limited, DJ Star has trouble convincing us of its relevance. It is a good beginning though for those who want to get into the highly anticipated mixing genre. The game is lacking confidence in itself, with the content being relatively simple and lacking importance, with a few imprecision’s in the game play. This game is therefore reserved only to players that are not looking for a lot other then to create their own sounds and have a good time. But unfortunately there is no question here of really having a good gaming experience.

  • Graphics
The atmosphere is lacking a little when on the dance floor, with the overall results looking a little sad as the settings are rather bland. At the same time, the turntable interface is rather clear, which allows you to quickly pick up what you have to do in the game.
    6.0/10
  • Music/sound
In terms of the sound, the game has 40 tracks which can be unblocked over time in the career mode. All of these songs are remakes, so don’t expect to hear any original songs here. The music genres are rather diversified to allow all DJ’s to be able to produce all the different mixes that they want.
    6.0/10
  • Gameplay
The game isn’t lacking in terms of mixing techniques. Very accessible, the game is rather simple to pick up, with three difficulty levels being provided. When in the middle of mixing, some of the actions that you will have to perform may not come out as you would like, which can be rather annoying at times. The game will take you by the hand and direct you in what you have to do without any real issues.
    6.0/10
  • Lifetime
You will quickly link together the tracks, even more so because you don’t have to get to the end of the time once you have achieved the set goal. DJ Star is really lacking content which means that the time is rather short in the game.
    5.0/10
  • Overall Score
The game doesn’t have enough content to really get the targeted public interested. Very simple to pick up, the lack of real difficulty and challenge will prevent you from really enjoying the game. DJ Star won’t leave a good impression on players, with there being a very good chance that this will be over taken by the future games of this genre which will be released.
    5.0/10
