First of all, the Toshiba TS 608 is quite attractive.
Its finesse (9.9mm thick), its size (dimensions of 110 x 46.9 x 9.9 mm for 81g), and especially its exterior looks, with the choice of silver bordering brushed aluminum, offering us a variation on design in a market that is saturated with models that all seems to be clones of each other.

The keyboard is lit in blue; the 262000 colour screen and lighting all contribute in giving the phone a good looking finish.
Nothing is too good for this phone: the camera on the back of the device is completely integrated into the form factor, with the grilled speaker being next to it.
The edges of the telephone have buttons or connection options like the mini-USB multifunction port on the left hand side, and the keys to manage the music being located on the front. You will though need small fingers or fingernails to be able to use them though.

The keypad is made up of keys that aren’t raised, which are also very nice to use. A 4 direction pad with action buttons rounds out the command options.
The pick up of use is good, with the rectangular aspect generally being compensated by the rounded corners. The keypad buttons are sufficiently large so that you don’t have to perform acrobatics either.
The telephone is well weighted and its use feels natural, even if the action button in the middle of the pad would have been better located on the side of the phone.
Our first impressions, both visual and tactile, are therefore pretty positive.
