Netgear ReadyNas Duo 2150

Home servers are in fashion at the moment. The Netgear ReadyNas Duo 2150, provided with a 500 GB hard drive, allowing a second SATA II hard drive in its second removable rack, is configured in X-RAID (Mirroring). This server is easy to configure and it seems to meet all home users needs with its folder sharing functions, content, music and even the possibility of creating backup of your sensitive data at any moment.

You should plan your backups
So as to have regular backups, you will need to schedule the task. By going to the Backups tab and then selecting New Task, the first step will be to select the source folder that you want to backup and then the destination folder for the Backup. Attributing a password isn’t obligatory… but you can set one if you want! In step 3, you determine the tasks execution interval and in step 4, how often you want the task to run (every week, every 2 weeks, once only…). Once the backup has been done, the administrator will receive an email to the nominated address, with the error log, the complete log or results of errors.

then there is nothing else to do!

Share your USB printer on the network
Most users will have a USB printer. By connecting this to the ports located on the back of the RND 2150, all members of the network will be able to take advantage of the automatically shared printer!
