Test of the Antec Nine Hundred case

A manufacturer with a good reputation, Antec raised our hopes in 2004 with their case dedicated to gamers, the Super Lan Boy. We have had to wait nearly three years for a new case designed for gamers. So, is the Nine Hundred a worthy successor?

On the P160 model, Antec has wisely chosen the location of the normal USB 2.0, Firewire and audio modules which are situated above the 5 and a quarter inch bays at the top and have pivoted them 45 degrees up. This has the purpose of preventing the user from having to perform gymnastics to use the plugs on the façade, which are generally located at the bottom of the case.

With the Nine Hundred, Antec has changed the position of this connection panel which is no longer found on the front panel, but instead at the back of the box.

Still looking at the 45 degree inclination, this makes the use of these plugs more practical, but the trade off is that the buttons (Power and reset) are arranged next to the 2 USB 2.0 plugs, the firewire and audio jacks so that it is easier to use a headset.

Not a lot to talk about, but nevertheless practical, the presence of a shelf with an anti-slip surface is practical allowing you to place your mp3 player, USB key and even your keys on it while you are at your LAN party. It is also possible to imagine this being used to hold an ashtray or even drinks.
