HTC Touch Diamond PDAPhone

The HTC Touch Diamond works on Windows Mobile 6.1 and comes with Internet Explorer Mobile. This said, the manufacturer has instead decided to promote another browser in their TouchFLO 3D interface: Opera.

The competition has become very lively on this particular point and experience with the iPhone, once again, underlines that a good browser associated with a good hand set is the best way to attract users to consume your data services.

Its use is very intuitive and the reaction of the device really leaves us with a good impression. The browsing experience really makes us feel like using the Internet more often on the mobile, allowing us to conclude that the ergonomics objective really has been reached.

Dedicated Youtube player
The HTC Touch Diamond also has a Youtube video player which allows you to access all videos on the site, loaded from lists (the most commonly watched, the highest rated, etc) or simply by searching for what you are looking for.

The videos or played in full screen and, while the quality of the video obviously depends on how it was put on the site, professional offerings like movie trailers watched on full screen are alive with the colors and fluidity. Once again with this hand set, using Youtube has become very simple and is addictive on the device.

You will have to watch your data consumption though, unless you are on an unlimited data plan. It is therefore recommended that you try and use the WiFi connections if you want to watch a lot of offerings on Youtube…

The RSS stream player
The HTC Touch Diamond comes with an RSS streams player that is very simple to use, allowing you to get up to date information from your favourite sites. Easy to configure, it displays all or part of articles, and allows you to access the site or blog in question with Opera.
