PNY GeForce 8800GTS video card test

While we are still awaiting the arrival of ATI/AMD’s R600 card to hit the market, nVidia has taken advantage of their dominant position in high range cards. While the 320MB GeForce 8800GTS and GeForce8600GT and Ultra are destined for the middle of the range, today we will be looking at PNY’s 8800GTS card.

For F.E.A.R, it is the integrated demo that we are using, with the system performance evaluation system only indicating the results as a complete score. But like with game tests, we have performed 3 tests before calculating the average.

The results here display the RADEON X1950XTX being more at ease then the GeForce 7950GX2, but the 8800GTS is still the winner.

And Half-Life 2 doesn’t break this trend; with a performance increase of about 21% in 1600 x 1200 FSAA 4X and Aniso 8x.
