Minimal impact on your system resources… in standby phase!
spywaremenaceactivSpyware Doctor surveys the computer discreetly so that the user doesn’t notice it in stand by mode. It brings permanent protection against current day threats, and when an analysis is underway the "CPU Priority" option (Settings, Analysis settings, Reduce the scan priority of the processor) allowing the user to moderate the analysis priority and consequently, reduce the impact on your computers performance when this is running.

The process will take up between 135-160 MB during the analysis phase (pctsAux.exe, pctsGui.exe, pctsSvc.exe, pctsTray.exe). When in stand by, Spyware Doctor AV is almost invisible as it uses only 25 to 30 MB of memory!

Clean your problems quickly and well!

spywaremenacenuisSpyware Doctor 6 with Antivirus quickly detects and deletes threats that are present on extremely infected computers. It is now possible to launch a system analysis in “safe” mod, making it faster and more efficient by forcing the computer to take responsibility for the analysis that is underway to the detriment of the malware or program which is preventing your antivirus from launching.

Among the analysis options, don’t forget to activate the function which reduces the processor use (Analysis settings, reduce the scan priority so that the processor isn’t used as much). You can also check the option for the creation of a restoration point before deleting an infected file, as well as the analysis of archive files. This option slows down the analysis process, but in our view it is a must!

Rational analysis (Intelli-Scan)
spywaremenace1By executing the virus search module (Start analysis tab), three analysis options are available. The standard one is Intelli-scan, with the others being full and custom.
Spyware Doctor with Antivirus examines the computer and reads the drive while actively looking for all infection types. The spider technology determines what is being used, and uses a combination of signatures and a behavioural analysis technique to take on threats.

In the anti-virus  settings, the user can choose the analysis method (quick or normal) and choose whether t hey want to activate the heuristic analysis which is also highly recommended! Intelli-scan is a lot faster then the competition in resolving problems on average, with analyse being done in about 3 minutes! (depending on the contents of your PC of course...). This method will look over the processes that are running, the start up files, cookies, browser settings, hosts files, registry entries, Active X objects and service layer providers (SLP). This is t he fastest technology for all of these areas.

Complete analysis

This includes all of the previous elements and scans, among other things, all drives in your computer. These include internal and external storage units (memory cards, memory sticks, USB hard drives…). But unfortunately network devices and files are not supported.

Custom analysis

As its name indicates, this gives you the freedom to perform an analysis on a volume, or multiple files.... If you think that you have found the location where the threat is hiding, you could choose to analyse these areas on a case by case basis with the analysis report tools (scripts analyser, DNS analyser, start up analyser, Windows Hosts file analyser…).
