Virtua Tennis 2009

It took two long years for the follow up to Virtua Tennis 3 to finally be released. Two long years which allowed Top Spin to succeed in capturing the hearts of players by providing a game for players that is a lot less arcade so that they can play tennis on their favourite console while remaining accessible to all. We were afraid that this new release wouldn’t quite be up to the standard expected, and in the end, things are even worse then we feared.

Virtua Tennis 2009

Finally! Finally "Roger" Federer succeeded in winning the one Grand Slam that was missing from his repertoire. It is with this same goal that we like to get into tennis games which are released on our favourite console. Not too often though as it seems that this genre gets forgotten a little by the editors. As an example, we have seen only two series really which deserve to be looked at: Top Spin and Virtua Tennis.

One puts before all else the realism aspect, Top Spin, while the other is more fun, Virtua Tennis. Top Spin 3 manages to show itself as accessible to all, while Virtua Tennis 2009 proves to be more of a challenge if you want to try and take out fourteen grand slam titles, even if Federer the outsider managed to take down Nadal in the final of a Masters Series. Things aren’t easy on clay, especially when you have to play Rafael.
