User profile: roaming
This extremely light machine is aimed fully at mobile users. Its configuration is ultra-portable but it is ideal for the office, browsing the Internet, instant messaging and the playing of audio and video files… although you will obviously have to avoid 3D games.
Zepto means tough!
Generally, the Notus A12 (296x209x13.5mm) and its magnesium shell is capable of supporting 25kg of pressure… The weight is well balanced, with the hand rest being large enough for 12 thumbs (5.5cm against 9cm for a Thinkpad T Series) while the keyboard is robust.
We also appreciate the solidity of the power supply and the connector. The battery is completely integrated into the case, which means nothing sticks out. The backlit Crystal Clear 16:10 screen displays the colours and contrasts at an extremely high level. While it is true that even when you leave the lighting at its minimum, the diodes produce a display that is still very readable even when running on low consummation.

The function keys, two isn’t enough!
On the top of the computer you will find two buttons. The “P1” button can be attributed to the application of your choice (browser, messaging client), while the other one represented by a battery allows you to change to economical mode when running on battery. You will have to press this button, and then use the up and down arrows to change between the “Eco off”, “Performance”, “Power Saving” or “Mobility” options. Depending on your choice, you can activate the Bluetooth and WiFi and increase the contrast. Other shortcut buttons besides the “P1” could have been added since there is space, but… no, there are none!

Finger traces
The hand rests will be unsupportable for those that want everything to look clean. This is because the Notus A12 doesn’t have a granular surface, which means you have annoying finger marks. This is surely so that the manufacturer can offer a cleaning cloth in the bundle, just so that everything is forgiven!
A battery with a charge indicator… but no earth plug
When you take the battery out, you will notice five lights which will indicate the state of charge by simply pressing a button. This is basically a little bonus! As for the power supply, the power cable doesn’t have an earth plug, which is rather surprising…
