Creating an Office XP installation CD with Service Pack 3 integrated
1. Introduction
This tutorial looks at the integration of the Microsoft Office XP updates so as to create a version that doesn’t need to be updated at the completion of the installation either from patches or from the OfficeUpdate site of Microsoft.
At the end of this procedure, the created CD will contain the updated Office XP installation files. This method is not overly difficult and can also be used to configure other programs while still not changing the systems minimum requirements indicated on the original CD.
All commercial versions of Office XP are supported:
Microsoft Office XP Professional,
-
Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage®,
-
Microsoft Office XP Standard,
-
Microsoft Office XP Standard (Student License),
-
Microsoft Office XP Small Business Edition,
-
Microsoft Access 2002,
-
Microsoft Excel 2002,
-
Microsoft FrontPage® 2002,
-
Microsoft Outlook® 2002,
-
Microsoft PowerPoint® 2002,
-
Microsoft Word 2002,
-
Microsoft Publisher 2002,
