Sending messages of 140 characters to a public or private network
twitter_logoA lot of us know and use the Twitter social network which was first seen in 2007. For everyone else who still wonders what it is, we will be taking a look at it in this article, providing an overall presentation of the service. To try and define Twitter, we can say that it is a tool which allows for the sending and receiving of public or private messages via the Internet, Instant messaging, SMS, from a computer or a Smartphone to any of the lists that you are subscribed to. The particularity of these messages, also known as "tweets", is that they are very short (140 characters maximum), which is one or two phrases, no more.

Getting information quickly on users or a subject, and limiting transmissions to a private group
Tweeting may appear like a blog. The difference through is that this method has been designed for quickly informing others with the facts so that members of the community (micro blogging) get up to date with news or a private event without having to move through all of the comments and responses. You quickly understand that some network users may be "important" (politicians, news providers, media groups …) others may be related to specific interest groups, while others again may be more confidential where only a small group of users may be interested about a persons news!

How to use Twitter
To be able to tweet, as a minimum you will need to create an account and be a member of a public or private user group.
