Unable to Receive Email

I have a Dell Studio XPS 9100 computer with Windows 7 Prof, SP1, and all
security updates. I also have MS Windows Live Mail and I believe I have the
latest update (having a senior moment - cannot remember how to check for the
latest Live Mail version on my computer!) I also have the MS Security
Essential which is active and Malwarebyte Antimalware installed also but is
only active manually. I should note that I have AT&T as my ISP.

My computer has been working working very well regarding receiving and
sending email. Yesterday was able to receive and send email without any
problems. This morning, I opened windows live email and did not receive any
emails. I tried to send myself an email twice, but did not receive any
response. These email did show up in the Sent box, but not in the In box.
I clicked on the Update All Icon on the tool bar and received an error
dialog box with the following error message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Att (scams) account. An unknown
error has occurred.

Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80004005
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes

I contacted AT&T tech support but they were not of any help. I asked the
tech support person if AT&T if was having any problems as an ISP, but she
denied any problems. Any help would be very much appreciated. Sam.

Hi, Sam

...(having a senior moment - cannot remember how to check for the latest
Live Mail version on my computer!)

I'm not much good at the techie side of tracing emails, but I can offer two
ways to answer this one. ;^}

1. Highlight the message you sent and press <Ctrl>+<F3>. That will show
you your headers, including this line:
X-Newsreader: Microsoft Windows Live Mail 15.4.3555.308

2. Click the Windows Live Mail icon, then About on the context menu. (The
WLM icon is that one in the upper left corner; it has no name until you
hover the mouse over it and get the ToolTip.)
