Use the Windows 7 viewing tab

December 05th, 2009 - 05:15 am ET by D. T.

Like in Windows Vista, the Windows 7 operating system has a viewing tab integrated into the browsing module so that you can view a selected document (text file, picture or video sample) without having to open the associated application.

With Windows 7, accessing this function is very practical and has been made a whole lot easier. You no longer need to browse through the menu’s and sub-menu’s looking to use it, as now a simple mouse click or keyboard shortcut is all that is required.

To open/close the viewing tab, simply click on the button next to the question mark, or use the [ALT + P] keyboard combination.
