Viewpointe to Host Payments Leaders at Second Annual Roundtable Event

Viewpointe^®, trusted provider of electronic content management and exchange services, today announced the agenda and speakers for its second annual Third-Party Sender Roundtable (the Roundtable) Leadership event, “Balancing Innovation with Regulation,” being held August 17, 2012, at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix. The yearly roundtable brings together payment thought leaders to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing third-party senders of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and their business relationships with customers and financial institutions.

“The challenges inherent in the changing third-party sender landscape require a joint effort among multiple parties, and the roundtable series is an important component in establishing industry-wide guidelines and best practices,” said Karroll Searcy, director of Viewpointe Association Services.

The event will feature discussions led by payments experts, who will review the current initiatives and challenges of third-party senders. Participants will work together to establish best practices for innovating and growing their businesses while staying within a complex set of rules and standards. The event will be relevant to virtually all ACH payments professionals, from third-party payment processors to financial institutions. This year’s program focuses on the following:

• Regulators’ perspective: What they are looking for, why there is a perception of increased scrutiny directed at third-party payments processors, and what financial institutions and third-party payments processors can do to demonstrate proper management of these relationships and prepare for examinations by their respective regulators.
• Perspectives from NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association, which manages the development, administration, and governance of the ACH Network, to include a discussion of recent NACHA Operating Rules changes and other initiatives currently underway.
• The effects of the Bank Secrecy Act on third-party payment processors and their need for adequate and effective Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance policies and procedures.
• SSAE 16 Audits (formerly SAS 70) – Who needs one, what is the purpose and why are they so important?
• Innovating in a highly regulated environment.

This year’s featured speakers will share their insights, experience, and knowledge while also facilitating discussion and sharing of ideas. As leading experts in their fields, they include:
