wav files

Wav sound files (such as various notifications) are heard
on my PC without Player ever having to open but when I
access a Web page with embedded wav files, Player opens
to play sound. How can I hear sound without having player
opening? Tks Rgds

It doesn't work that way. :)
System sounds are processed by the system directly. Web pages can access
that method of playback, but only the web page can make that choice when it
it initially created.
