Who says XP, Vista and Win7 are better than 98

I purchased another computer with XP-Pro installed on it. Everyone
keeps saying to upgrade to at least XP if not vista or Win7.

I have come to the conclusion that Windows 98se is far superior to XP.
I cant speak for Win7 (and have no intention to try vista), but I can
do anything in Win98 that I can do in XP and do it easier. Windows
98se is still the best OS ever made by MS. I used to have trouble
with videos in 98, until I found "Media Player Classic". That program
is awesome, it will play anything.

The only thing that 98 now lacks is decent USB support. If I could
fix that, I'd have a perfect system. And for those who claim 98
crashes often, I rarely have any crashes since I removed Internet
Explorer. IE crashed, not Win98.

Speaking about USB support, I have read that someone found a means to
extract the USB portion of Windows ME and put it into Win98se. Does
anyone know anything about that?

Not true at all...
though Win98 was a decent OS at the time...
when I later moved to Win2k...then XP and finally Linux...
I found them more stable...

win98 was locking up on me...not often...but just enough to be a PITA.

OTOH it sure runs great on a low end machine
