is extremely simpleThe installation is extremely simple. Download the latest version for the official site, install it and open a user account from Orb services. A confirmation email will be sent to you so that you can authenticate your request (so as to prevent one of your friends creating accounts for you).

Installing Orb 2.0 is very easy

The rest is quite simple as you simply need to launch the server that will take care of opening the incoming/outgoing ports that are required, with this supporting the Universal Plug ‘n’ Play function. If this doesn’t work, then you should open port TCP 80 from your routers administration console or from your software firewall’s configuration. It should be noted that no matter which sharing program is used, we have seen that this is considered as a Trojan horse by a lot of security programs. This can be a pain to get around.

Next connect to the MyCasting service (http://mycast.orb.com) and identify yourself with your username and password, with all of your configuration settings being created on this page. The interface presents itself in the form of a portal that groups together channels (TV-Programs, Audio, TV-channels, TV-Recordings, Favourite videos, photos, PC state, weather, RSS streams, etc). This portal can be completely customised, as you can add and remove new channels as well as tabs. You simply need to click on a channel to access its content.

The menu tab allows you to also access your own channels, and especially configure your MyCast space (user account, format and speed of streams, skins, TV card, Internet TV channels, shared folders, etc). The interface is intuitive, to the point where we don’t even have to go into detail with the control panel.

Config Orb

More powerful, Orb will adapt the streams depending on the device connected to your PC.
