Wikileaks and Windows

More than a quarter of a million diplomatic correspondence, dating back
to the 1960's (!!) has been leaked onto the Web by Wikileaks. However,
the untold story is that Microsoft Windows is responsible for this leak.

The U.S. government supports Microsoft because it believes that
companies like it can help with clandestine information gathering.
However, the U.S. government is getting burned by M$ since their TOY
operating system Windows is totally insecure, resulting in large
national security leaks and infiltration of critical infrastructure.
You could ask youself 'who would want to run critical power plants,
food processing and chemical plants on Windows?' but it seems quite a
few companies in the U.S. do, which makes its infrastructure based on
quicksand. It wouldn't be inconceivable that half the U.S.'s power grid
could be destroyed or crippled by yet-another-Windows-trojan or a
chemical plant blown up by cyber-terrorists. It's MADNESS to use
Windows for anything more critical than a webpage guestbook!

The U.S. government should officially abandon Windows for all its
critical tasks, instead relying on Linux, which has proven to be bullet-
proof and which runs most of the critical Internet infrastructure,
financial and banking systems.
