XTec Incorporated Awarded PIV-I BPA by U.S. Courts

XTec Incorporated, a certified PIV-I provider and an industry leader in HSPD-12 solutions, today announced that the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts awarded it a blanket purchase agreement for PIV-Interoperable credentials. The BPA spans five years.

“XTec and the Federal Judiciary are teaming up for the first wide-scale deployment of PIV-I credentials,” said Kevin Kozlowski, XTec’s vice president of government initiatives. “This BPA marks the beginning of an exciting process for both parties.”

Using its GSA IT Schedule 70 products and services, XTec will supply the Federal Judiciary with PIV-I facility access cards usable for both physical and logical access, including access to GSA facilities in which the Federal Judiciary leases office space. The new cards present a standardized replacement for the existing credentials, issued locally by each court and at court facilities.

In addition to cards, XTec will host its premier AuthentX™ Identity Management System, a cloud solution, for the courts and provide enrollment stations, training and support to enable court facilities nationwide to issue and manage the PIV-I facility access cards. The Federal Judiciary will enjoy new security controls and expanded authentication capabilities as a result of introducing PIV-I credentials. “We are pleased that U.S. Courts chose XTec to help them make this important step,” said Tom Murphy, XTec’s Director of Sales.
